Cranio Mandibular Rehabilitation
BASE
On the first day of the BASE course, after an introduction to anatomy and biomechanics, the physiopathology of a craniomandibular disorder will be widely discussed (with particular attention to the two most common conditions, namely disc dislocation and lock) and their evaluation.
The evaluation proposed in the course follows the indications of the Diagnostic Criteria for TMD, a validated and internationally recognized procedure, of which the medical record, decision-making algorithm and mandibular movement measurement tool will be provided.
The second day is instead dedicated to the fundamental relationships of the ATM with the cervical spine and their reciprocal influences, with the skull and the most frequent symptom in TMD, headache.
Therapeutic exercises will be shown to be integrated into the patient's therapy, both in the presence of the therapist and as a "Home treatment"
Great emphasis will also be given to the communication and behavioral aspects to be implemented with the patient with temporomandibular disorder.
