Master's Program


The Master aims to provide the knowledge and skills to evaluate and intervene at a rehabilitative level in different contexts in the problems of maxillofacial competence both preventive and in pre and post surgery in different age groups.


Participants will be provided with

  • theoretical and practical knowledge in the area of various maxillofacial pathologies and their therapeutic approach.
  • skills for the administration of evaluation and rehabilitation protocols.
  • methodological knowledge that allows the development of skills to participate in team work in different professional and research contexts.


This Master recognizes English as an official language since many lessons will be in English to allow the participation of students not only of Italian language, for the presence of teachers of various nationalities and in front of events and internships based abroad. A minimum knowledge of the English language is therefore recommended for a more complete use of the master.

Translations into Italian, Polish and Spanish will be available (subject to the needs of the participants).

Educational program

The Master's course lasts 12 months and includes a total of 1500 hours, divided into:

  • lectures and seminars (270 hours);
  • practical activity and anatomical dissection laboratory;
  • internship (100 hours)
  • dedicated student area with downloadable teaching materials and exclusive content
  • individual study and preparation activities including the preparation of the final exam


The program is divided into eight macro areas and 28 training modules, for a total of 60 university training credits (CFU).

The planned implementation is in blended mode with 8 online meetings (once a month, from Monday to Thursday, from 7pm to 10pm) and 3 in-person meetings lasting 2 days distributed as follows:

  • Anatomical dissection laboratory in Lisbon (Portugal)
  • practical exercise in Warsaw (Poland)
  • thesis discussion and graduation day in Rome (Italy)

  • Craniomandibular anatomy and physiology 4 CFU

    • Evaluation and treatment of post-traumatic craniofacial dysfunctions and surgical outcomes
    • Evaluation and treatment of swallowing and phonation disorders
    • Evaluation and treatment of temporomandibular disorders
    • Evaluation and treatment of the cervical spine in TMJ disorders

    • Internships abroad

    • Dentistry in orofacial pain
    • Odontogenic and non-odontogenic orofacial pain
    • Diagnostic classification of temporomandibular joint disorders
  • Otolaryngology 6 CFU

    • Tinnitus: diagnosis, therapy and rehabilitation
    • Vertigo: diagnosis, therapy and rehabilitation
    • Vestibulopathies: diagnosis, therapy and rehabilitation
  • Neurology 4 CFU

    • Primary and secondary headaches: timing with the neurologist
    • The visual system in dysfunctions of the cranio-cervical-mandibular system
    • Pain medicine
  • Radiology 3 CFU

    • Technologies in the diagnosis and treatment of temporomandibular disorders
    • Imaging in the surgical treatment of temporomandibular disorders
  • Biostatistica 2 CFU

    • Critical analysis of scientific evidence in the field of craniomandibular and maxillofacial dysfunctions
    • Evidence-based practice in the surgical and rehabilitation field

Expected start date of Master: JANUARY 2026


Master's location:

  • online lessons at UniCamillus University on Zoom or Google Meet platform
  • internship and practical exercises at Paideia (Rome), Therapeos (Rome), Instituto Portogues da Face (Lisbon), FizjoKlinica (Warsaw) as well as all the necessary and appropriate locations for practical activities (companies, laboratories, etc.)


Attendance mode:

Attendance is mandatory for at least 80% of the total hours of the Master.

The internship hours will be scheduled in agreement with the host structure.

In case of impossibility to attend the meetings in Warsaw and Lisbon, live streaming will be organized, while in-person participation on the graduation day in Rome is mandatory to obtain the Master's degree.
